SERVICE

Serve

“…As you did it to the least of these my brothers, you did it to me –Matthew 25:40

Christian Stewardship is the realization that all that we are and have is a gift from God and that we are called to share these gifts with others.  It is through Stewardship that we show our gratitude to God for His many gifts and blessings.  These gifts and blessings are commonly called our Time, Talent and Treasure, to be used in service of our Church and community to build up the Body of Christ.  The gift of our Time can be given as a religious education, teacher, lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and countless other ways.  The gift of our Talent recognizes the fact that everyone has been blessed with unique talents that are meant to serve God through service to our parish.  With the gift of Treasure, we can continue God’s work by supporting our parish’s mission and its many ministries.  Christian Stewardship is more than just something we do; instead, it is the way we should live our lives.

Below you will find descriptions of the ministries we have here at OLV!
