Take the Next Step
"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." — Hebrews 10:24-25
It's so important that we do not simply go through the motions as Catholics. We're called to get involved and get to know others in our faith community so that we can grow closer to God and what He's calling us to do and who we're called to become. Below are several ways to take the next step in our discipleship!
Small Groups
Our Lady of the Valley offers small groups with the intention of connecting people to God and each other. Groups are usually 6-12 people who meet weekly to discuss different topics of the Catholic Faith and support one another in their relationship with Christ. If you are interested in learning more about Scripture, prayer, Church teachings, Saints, etc., then a small group is the place for you.

Religious Education Volunteer Opportunities
When you hear that the parish needs Catechists, you might think, "I'm not qualified for that," or "I don't know enough." In reality, teaching is one of the best ways to learn, and our Faith Formation program provides you with the materials, tools, and training you need. It's normal to have doubts at first, but remember: God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called. RE Volunteers lead with a strong foundation in prayer and by regularly partaking in the Sacraments. We all have unique gifts from God, and how we share them with others is a key part of who we are.
For parents, the greatest benefit is that your children learn by your example. Actions always speak louder than words. By offering your time and effort to the Faith Formation program, whether in your own child's class or another class at the same time, you teach your child that their religious education is important. You aren't just saying it matters; you're showing its significance through your own actions.
To become the people God has called us to be—accompanying one another in Christ, celebrating God's love, and transforming lives—we need more laborers in the vineyard of Holy Trinity. Prayerfully consider how God might be calling you to this vital and life-giving work of guiding young people—children and teens—on their faith journey.
You don't need to be a theology expert to support us! Children need to see faithful witnesses who are excited to share the joy of a relationship with Christ. We appreciate you prayerfully discerning this service.

Counseling
Inspired by God’s love and compassion, St. Raphael Counseling extends the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by bringing psychology to the service of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Denver.
Counseling Resources
Living out our vocations as Christians is incredibly challenging. Whether it is in your mission in the family, at work or within a ministry, applying the Church’s teaching brings unique challenges. Together with your therapist, you can find healing in your life and come one step closer to the saint that God is calling you to be.
We have two great options for counseling at Catholic Charities. St. Raphael's Counseling is a full-service, Catholic-centered clinic with various locations across the Front Range and northern mountains.
Marisol Counseling is another option for folks who are referred to our program. We bring together collaborative, highly-trained, highly-experienced clinicians to work with families identified by Catholic Charities or other partner agencies as folks who would benefit from our counseling.
St. Raphael Counseling's goal is to change our culture by bringing together the teachings of the Catholic Church and the very best in clinical care.
Catholic Charities’ Marisol Counseling looks forward to working with referred clients - both as individuals and together as families.
Please fill out the Marisol Counseling to get started.
Support Groups
